Amanda Cooper

Hello, I'm Amanda, co-founder, and CEO of Little Adventurers. As a stay-at-home mom, I have always been passionate about creating a supportive and inclusive community for families like mine. Since I was a little girl, I dreamed of working for a nonprofit, and now I'm thrilled to be running one of my own.In my free time, I love exploring my creative side through content creation, social media management, and fashion. I also enjoy practicing yoga, spending time outdoors, and organizing. Together with my best friend Cortney, I started the Facebook group Little Adventurers, which ultimately led to the creation of our nonprofit organization.+At Little Adventurers, our team is dedicated to supporting and empowering mothers and families in our community. We organize events that bring people together, foster connections, and promote a sense of belonging. Board Vice President

Taylor Abbasi

Hi, I’m Taylor Abbasi, Vice President of Little Adventurers. I would describe myself as an attorney, business owner, wife, mother, and advocate; but not necessarily in that order. I have always been passionate about working with organizations that put supporting others and the community first and am excited to continue to do so with Little Adventurers in Mooresville! My family owns the Culver’s restaurant here in town, which allows me to bring together two of my passions: food and helping others grow! We do this by allowing our team to grow and thrive while partnering with Mooresville organizations to support their programs! My husband and I, along with our children Aaron and Adalae, love gardening--especially growing food for our kitchen--cooking and baking--in particular sharing, preserving, and putting a modern, southern twist on the traditional Persian recipes of Andrew’s heritage--and travel, whole-heartedly believing that the world is a book and every page deserves to be read, shared, and protected for generations to come.


Cortney Bellassai

Hey there! I'm Cortney, and I am proud to say that I am one of the co-founders, as well as the CFO and treasurer, of Little Adventurers. As a mom of two energetic toddlers, my family is the center of my world. We share our home with three dogs, fish, and even a couple of frogs, and it's always filled with love, laughter, and lots of adventures.Helping people has always been one of my greatest passions, and I try to make a positive difference in people's lives every chance I get. Whether it's volunteering at a local charity or just lending a listening ear to a friend in need, I feel incredibly fulfilled when I can help others.Aside from my passion for helping people, I also love to create things. Whether it's sewing a quilt or painting a picture, there's something so satisfying about making something from scratch. I believe that creativity is such an important part of life and it's what keeps us inspired and motivated.Overall, I am a dedicated and compassionate person who loves her family, pets, and hobbies. Being a part of Little Adventurers has been such an amazing experience, and I am grateful to be a part of this wonderful organization that is making a positive impact on so many lives.

Lainey Wood

Hey there, I'm Lainey, and I'm the Secretary of Little Adventurers. I'm a work-from-home mom who spends most of my time chasing after my adventurous toddler and our mischievous Doberman. We love exploring new places, hitting the beach, and anything that involves racing.Since becoming a mom, I've become more passionate about building a strong community. Little Adventurers has given me the chance to do just that, while also providing great opportunities for my family. I'm excited to continue growing this organization and empowering even more families!I believe that surrounding our kids with positive values, experiences, and friendships is crucial. That's why I'm so passionate about what we do at Little Adventurers. I can't wait to work together to achieve our goals!

Program Chair

Christina White

My name is Christina White - a stay-at-home mom turned Program Chair for Little Adventurers, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering families in the community. With my recent transition to being a full-time mom to my two (almost three) children I have found a new perspective on prioritizing and creating everlasting memories with my loved ones. I have also recently found ways to surround myself with other moms and families that value creating memories and supporting our children as we watch them learn and grow. Prior to my current role, I worked in the field of Education, where my passion for helping others was put to good use. Now, as the program chair for Little Adventurers, I plan to channel my expertise and compassion to work alongside my team in creating programs that embody the mission of our nonprofit. I envision creating a community that is safe, supportive, and inclusive - a place where families can truly thrive and build strong, lasting relationships.Family, compassion, education, growth, and relationship building are my passion, so I cannot wait to see where this journey takes us.

Fundraising Chair

Allie Marcus

Meet Allie Marcus, the dedicated fundraising chair for Little Adventurers. As a stay-at-home mom to her daughter, Arianna, Allie's commitment to helping others stems from her previous experience as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively with geriatrics, the foster care system, and individuals of all ages with disabilities. Helping people has always been Allie's passion, and she is thrilled to continue making a difference in her role as the fundraising chair.Allie and her husband both hail from Long Island, NY, and after spending three years in Colorado, they made the decision to move back to the East Coast to be closer to family. Currently, they reside in Cornelius, NC, along with their daughter, a beloved dog, and two feline companions. Allie embraces her free time by actively engaging with the community, exploring local events, and embarking on adventures with their furry family member. When she's not spending time with her loved ones, Allie indulges in her favorite TV shows, immerses herself in reading, and channels her creativity through crafting endeavors.Allie's anticipation to contribute to the growth of Little Adventurers and support moms and families is unwavering. With her skills, dedication, and genuine desire to make a difference, she looks forward to the opportunity to empower and uplift others.

Meet Jess, our passionate and creative Communications and Marketing Chair for Little Adventurers. Born and raised as a Carolina girl, Jess brings her southern charm and warm personality to everything she does.With over 10 years of experience working in healthcare, Jess has always enjoyed helping others. Her dedication to supporting families and spreading awareness about important issues is what brought her to Little Adventurers.Faith and family are also very important to Jess, and she brings these values to her work with Little Adventurers. Her passion for creating a positive impact in her community through her marketing and communication skills is truly inspiring.As a valued member of our team, Jess is always coming up with new and innovative ways to promote our mission and connect with our supporters. We're grateful for her dedication and can't wait to see what she brings to the table next.

Erin Sullivan

Meet Erin Sullivan, the dedicated Outreach Board Chair for Little Adventures. With a heartfelt passion for making a positive impact, Erin is a stay-at-home mom to three incredible children. Almost three years ago, her family made the move from New York to North Carolina, instantly falling in love with their new home and feeling like longtime residents.In a previous chapter of her life, Erin worked in a special needs school, where she had the privilege of assisting students in their daily growth and learning journeys. This experience also allowed her to raise awareness for the unique and remarkable special needs community. As the Outreach Chair, Erin is thrilled to combine her love for networking, connecting with people in the community, and sharing Little Adventures' mission with everyone she meets.Erin and her family fully embrace their new surroundings, frequently exploring the beauty of their home state, immersing themselves in nature, and seeking out opportunities to lend a helping hand within the community. They have a deep appreciation for water and enjoy spending time near it, taking in its soothing presence. Furthermore, they are passionate about sharing knowledge, both teaching and learning from others.From a young age, Erin has been actively involved in various organizations, which has instilled in her a desire to serve her community, educate children, give back, and provide a supportive shoulder to those in need.
